Arizona

We arrived in Arizona from the north. We went to see Lake Powell and the Antelope Canyon near Page, then we headed east for Monument Valley. We spent a night in a pleasant hotel with indian-style furniture in Tuba City inside the Navajo Reservation. Next, we took off for the Grand Canyon, stopping in at the Little Colorado River tribal park on the way. We then slept in Flagstaff, the ski heaven at 7,000 feet. There is a lot to see around Flagstaff, but since we wanted to return to the Grand Canyon, we just visited one place, the Barringer Meteor Crater. Finally, we started out westward towards Nevada, throwing back our last longing glances at the beautiful mountains of Arizona. —T
